Confidentiality of Records
Public records maintained by the County Clerk are open for inspection unless specifically made confidential by statute. The gross receipts of a business is one example of a confidential record. Also, under most conditions, motor vehicle records are confidential as stipulated in Tennessee Code Annotated 55-25-104 et al.
