Motor Vehicle Dealer Department
MOTOR VEHICLE DEALER DEPARTMENT
This department was established to provide personal and more efficient service for:
- New car dealers,
- Used car dealers,
- Large fleet owners, and
- Rental Car agencies in Davidson County
The department processes all transactions such as titling, transfers, title replacements and renewals. The Dealer Department works closely with the Tennessee Department of Revenue, Title & Registration Division to correct titles and make other corrections for Taxpayers. They also issue Auto Dealer tags.
Handling vehicle dealers' work separate from the general public's work speeds up the process for both dealers and the public.
As of June 18, 2007 until possibly the end of 2007, the Davidson County Clerk’s Motor Vehicle Dealer Department is located at the North Police Precinct branch at 2231 26th Avenue North, Nashville, TN just off of Clarksville Pike.
