Future Services
The Davidson County Clerk’s (DCC) office is constantly thinking of ways to make government transactions more convenient to the citizens of Davidson County. Below is a list of services that our office will be providing in the near future.
Driver’s License Renewals
Beginning this Fall, the DCC’s Metro Center office will offer driver’s license renewals along with duplications and information changes. This service will only be provided at our main office at 523 Mainstream Drive in Metro Center.
Emission Testing Center In-the-lane Vehicle Tag renewal
The DCC’s office is in discussions with SysTech International (the vendor managing the local testing facilities) to conduct vehicle renewals to customers at the emissions site. This service will allow drivers to receive their auto renewal sticker while at the same time getting their emissions test completed, which will save drivers from driving to one additional place to complete the vehicle renewal process.
Birth Certificates
Our office is working with the TN Department of Health to issue copies of birth certificates. This service provides an additional location for those born in Tennessee to receive a certified copy of their birth certificate.
Money Orders
Our office is also in process of offering locations to purchase money orders as an added convenience to providing more services.
Online Services
The Internet has become an essential tool for business to business and personal needs. The DCC office will begin offering its services for payment over the Internet. By offering the DCC’s services online this will hopefully reduce the amount of time that you would have otherwise spent driving to one of our offices and standing in a waiting line (i.e., vehicle renewal). Most, if not all, of our services will be available online except for those services that would require you to come in person (due to security reasons, etc).
