Metro Liaison for DES
Michael Bradley, whose public service career spans more than 35 years in state and local government, is the Metro liaison for the District Energy System. Bradley works with DES’ operating contractor and project administration consultant to ensure that system customers are receiving the service they need. He helps manage the accounting process, provides liaison services for Metro Departments, works with system expansion projects as new buildings are brought into the District Energy System.
Bradley appreciates the opportunity to work with DES because of its importance to the economic and development future of downtown Nashville.
“Hopefully, our efforts today will bring great benefits to the downtown district for years to come,” he said. “I take great satisfaction in seeing the growth of the DES and in helping to provide an energy system for downtown government buildings and businesses that is efficient, cleaner for the environment, and more cost-effective. It is a model system, and a significant investment in the future of downtown Nashville.”
Bradley’s past governmental experience includes work for the Metro Department of Children’s Services, the Tennessee Department of Mental Health, and the Tennessee Board of Probation and Parole, where he served as executive director. He also worked in the private sector for Combustion Engineering, Inc.
He holds a B.A. degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and has done postgraduate work in public administration. He is a veteran of the United States Navy.
