BUSINESS NEWS!!!

iProcurement logoMetro Nashville will go live with iProcurement May 14!! Please note that SMARTrac will no longer be availble for use after May 3 at 4:30 PM.

As Metro changes over to iProcurement, our suppliers will follow and see a variety of upgrades. Some of the highlights are:

  • Your information will migrate over but for your firm’s security, we will send you a temporary password somewhere around May 14th. You will be asked to change it so, no one can see or alter your data.
  • There is no need to re-register but it would be a good time to review your business profile.
  • Your business profile, will now allow multiple contacts. So, when a procurement is issued, multiple folks can be made aware of the opportunities.
  • All solicitations will be issued and received online! This eliminates the costly investment in proposal documents, mad rushes through Nashville traffic to ensure timely submissions of offers, or the need to be present for bid openings. Everything can be seen online.
  • Questions, discussions and solicitation amendments will take place online. The same is true for awards and resulting contracts.
  • All subcontracting will be reported online but this requires that your subcontractors be registered before solicitation submissions. Encourage them to do so now!
  • Subcontractor payment reporting will also take place online and the Business Assistance Office will be monitoring this activity.
  • Fewer forms and more consolidated reporting requirements will be in place.

Our goal is to provide our suppliers a one-stop destination for doing business with Metro Nashville. It is also to be transparent to the public as we conduct business. More information will be provided and an online tutorial (UPK) will walk you through the new opportunities. We trust you will like the improvements – be patient as we work through the roll out.
