ECD Board recognizes Nashville girl for her life-saving call to 9-1-1

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Board of Directors of the Emergency Communications District of Metropolitan Nashville (ECD) will honor 7-year-old KeMaya Williams this Thursday, May 15, at the Emergency Communications Center for her heroic call to 9-1-1 that saved her mother’s life.

Toni Williams was critically wounded last February after being shot in her home.  KeMaya immediately called for help, notifying the call taker of the shooting and her address.  She credits the ECD Board’s Rescue Rex Program in Metro Schools for teaching her how to call 9-1-1 during an emergency.
