NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Metro Nashville’s Emergency Communications Center will host its annual Employee Recognition Banquet and Awards Ceremony Wednesday evening at the Sheraton Music City Hotel. The media is invited to attend.
Special guest speakers include Nashville Mayor Karl Dean and Woodbine Cumberland Presbyterian Church Pastor Ray DeVries. Pastor DeVries was involved in a near-fatal car accident on September 20, 2008. A passerby called 9-1-1 to report the accident and the call taker provided critical instructions on how to clear DeVries airway, saving his life.
