North American Cities of the Future 2007/08

Nashville ranked No. 5 on the list of most Business Friendly among large cities in the April/May 2007 issue of fDi magazine. The magazine compared cities in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. fDi is based in the United Kingdom and published by the Financial Times publishing group.

2007’s Best Cities for Relocating Families

Nashville ranked No. 2 for relocating families among large metropolitan areas (cities with a population of 1.25 million or more). The rankings comes from Las Vegas based Worldwide ERC and Primacy Relocation of Memphis.

10 Best Cities for African Americans

The May 2007 issue of Black Enterprise magazine ranked Nashville the No. 5 city for African Americans based on median household income, percentage of households earning more than $100,000, percentage of businesses owned, percentage of college graduates, unemployment rates, home loan and homeownership rates.

Best Places for Business and Careers

Nashville ranked 9th among major cities measured for business and careers according to Forbes magazine. Criteria included such factors as the cost of doing business and job growth.
