Angie’s entire career has been in the procurement field. She began with Vanderbilt University in their Purchasing Department and remained there until she joined the Metro Board of Education Purchasing Department. The purchasing department was consolidated in 1980. Mrs. McDonald was awarded the Buyer of the Year in 2001 by the Tennessee Society of Healthcare Materials Management and served as the 2005 President of the Tennessee Association of Public Purchasing.
Angie graduated from West High School in Nashville and graduated from Freed-Hardeman College with an A.A. degree. Mrs. McDonald attended George Peabody College, transferring to Tennessee Technology University where she graduated in 1972.
