Letters of Delegated Purchasing Authority
4.08.060 Delegation of authority by the purchasing agent.
Subject to the regulations of the standards board, the purchasing agent may delegate authority to officers and employees of the division of purchases or to any department, agency or official and may set conditions for such delegation.
| Dollar Amount Of Purchase | Requirements |
|---|---|
| Up to $999.99 | One oral or written quote required. |
| $1,000 to $3,999.99 | A minimum of three verbal quotations required. |
| $4,000 to $9,999.99 | A minimum of three written quotations required. |
| $10,000 and above | Must go through the Procurement Division. |
