Compliance

An effective Compliance Program entails more than following all the rules and regulations and "doing the right thing." It also includes a written Code of Conduct that all employees agree to follow before they begin work at NGH, and a Compliance Plan that reflects the hospital's commitment to [image of employee working on compliance issues]ethical and honest behavior by creating a culture within NGH that promotes prevention, detection and resolution of nonconforming conduct. The program has a Compliance Officer who is responsible for the overall implementation of the compliance plan and a Compliance Liaison Team which helps to educate staff and monitor compliance within the Hospital.

Compliance is everyone's job, and we take it seriously. It ensures adherence to the National Patient Safety Goals and the new HIPAA privacy rights of all patients. Our commitment to compliance and integrity in all we say and do is vital as we seek to earn trust from those we serve.
