The Metro Injured On Duty Clinic
The Metro Injured On Duty (MIOD) Clinic is located on the 10th floor of Nashville General Hospital. This clinic is specifically designated for those Metro employees who have been injured in the line of duty. It is staffed by a physician whose specialty is physiatry and rehabilitative medicine, an orthopedic surgeon, and a family nurse practitioner.
Employees can be seen for initial injuries and for follow-up
care of injuries. Fire and police may be seen for the heart
and lung injuries that are considered as injury on duty such
as hypertension.
The clinic hours are from 8 AM – 3 PM Monday through Friday by appointment only. You may make an appointment by calling 341-4170. Employees are usually able to be seen within 24-48 hours for follow up care. Parking is available in the garage across from the hospital and will be validated.
