Disability Compliance

To qualify for and receive disability pension benefits, you must agree to and comply with certain disability pension guidelines and procedures, including providing information about your disability on a regular basis to the Human Resources Disability Compliance Division (see Annual Disability Report). Disability pensioners will be monitored for compliance with the agreement. Failure to comply with the agreement will be reported to the Metro Employee Benefit Board and could result in the discontinuation of all benefits.

The employee's department will also be responsible for completing a departmental agreement, which pertains to the "Return to Work" section of the Metropolitan Code.
