If You Have an Existing IOD Case
All existing IOD cases shall be allowed to continue treatment with their current physician. If that physician is an IOD Network Provider, the physician's office shall be notified of ASC's involvement and subsequent treatment will be handled accordingly. If that physician is not an IOD Network Provider, he/she will not be recruited at this time. Such employees will be advised that they can continue treatment with their physician. ASC will send information to the injured worker on how to recover all out-of-pocket expenses. A signed medical release will be sent when medical records are requested.
Treatment Options
Emergency Care
All Metro Nashville hospitals and many surrounding county hospitals are covered at 100% for IOD cases (see IOD Network Directory for a full list of providers).
IOD Network
The employee may seek treatment from an IOD Network provider. The employee incurs no out-of-pocket expenses under this network. All treatment, including pharmacy, is covered at 100%.
Group Health Insurance
The employee may seek treatment from his/her group health provider. The employee is initially responsible for co-pays and deductibles using this option. ASC will reimburse the employee for verified out-of-pocket expenses.
