Meet Your Commissioners
The Metro Human Relations Commission was the first human rights agency of its kind in Tennessee. Created in 1965 and re-established in 1994 by Chapter 2.132 of the Metro Code, the Commission consists of seventeen members appointed by Mayor Karl Dean. Through its work, the Commission seeks to contribute to a way of life in Metropolitan Nashville embodies the vision of "One City All People."
