NASHVILLE NEWS
The annual Celebration of Cultures festival will take place in Centennial Park on Oct. 4 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
Metro Nashville Arts Commission and Metro 3 Television presents "An Introduction to Nashville's Public Art Program," a video documenting the establishment of the city's Public Art Program and the citizen-driven process of selecting public art.
Each year, Metro employees and pensioners have an opportunity to change their benefits for the next year. 2009 annual enrollment is from Sept. 24 to Oct. 10.
Middle and high school students in Nashville are invited to audition for Stars of the Future, the 2008 Mayor's Youth Council Talent Show. Auditions will be held Oct. 11. Interested students should submit an entry form by Oct. 3.
Belmont University will host Tennessee's first-ever presidential debate at the Curb Event Center on Oct. 7.
