Mayor ends first week with school visits, lunch with students
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Sept. 27, 2007) -
Mayor Karl Dean will end his first week in office visiting with students in Metro Nashville Public Schools.
After touring East Literature Magnet High and Napier Elementary, Dean will have lunch with students at Two Rivers Middle.
“One of the things said at Monday night’s Town Hall Meeting on Education is I need to hear from the students as much as anyone, and I completely agree,” Dean said.
“I made a number of visits to schools over the last year and look forward to regularly using the opportunity to talk to students and learn from them what needs to be done to make our schools better.”
