Neighborhood meeting with the mayor on Saturday

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Nov. 27, 2007) -

Mayor Karl Dean and the Mayor’s Office of Neighborhoods will host a community meeting this Saturday at the Downtown Public Library to hear citizens’ thoughts on the future of Nashville’s neighborhoods.

The mayor will share his vision and top priorities specific to neighborhoods, including the roles of neighborhood associations and other community organizations in improving our schools and making streets safer.

Police Chief Ronal Serpas, Parks Director Roy Wilson, Office of Neighborhoods Director Brady Banks and other Metro officials will be present for the discussion.

All interested citizens are invited to attend. The event is free and open to the public.
