MAYOR'S SMALL BUSINESS SUMMIT WEEK FROM TODAY
Event agenda includes an array of speakers and topics
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Dec. 4, 2007) -
The agenda for the Mayor’s Small Business Summit has shaped up to include speakers and topics that will provide useful information for all types of small businesses.
“Small businesses are the backbone of our economy,” Mayor Karl Dean said. “This event is to provide small business owners and entrepreneurs with information that will help them stay and grow here in Nashville.”
The summit will be held a week from today on Dec. 11 at the Ezell Center on the campus of David Lipscomb University. Registration and networking begins at 8:30 a.m. Mayor Dean will kickoff the event by welcoming attendees at 9 a.m. He also will make closing remarks at the end of the morning.
Presentations have been broken down into three main categories: State of Small Business, Access to Capital and Working with Metro Government. A 30-minute panel discussion will all of the speakers will follow. A detailed agenda is attached.
The event is free and open to the public. All small business owners and entrepreneurs in Nashville and Davidson County are encouraged to attend. Event registration is available online at www.nashville.gov.
