TOWN HALL MEETINGS TO FOCUS ON CLUSTER-SPECIFIC ISSUES
Meeting tonight at Hillsboro High School
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Jan. 14, 2008) -
The Mayor’s Town Hall Meetings on Education will start back up this semester with a new format focused on issues specific to individual school clusters.
The first meeting in 2008 is tonight at Hillsboro High School at 6 p.m. Topics to be discussed include the retention of Hillsboro-area students in the public school system beyond elementary school.
“It’s going to take a series of changes in each of our schools to improve our entire school system and we have a unique opportunity through these town hall meetings to hear from parents, students and teachers as to what those changes need to be,” Mayor Karl Dean said.
