The Metropolitan Council met in special session on this date at 10:30 a.m. in the Grand Reading Room of the Metropolitan Nashville Downtown Public Library pursuant to Section 1.08 of the Metropolitan Charter and the previous adoption of Resolution No. RS2008-233.
The invocation was offered by The Most Reverend David R. Choby, Bishop of Nashville.
The Metropolitan Council gave the pledge of allegiance to the American Flag.
The State of Metro address by The Honorable Karl F. Dean, Metropolitan Mayor, was received by the Council.
The benediction was offered by Pastor Darrell A. Drumwright of The Temple Church.
Upon motion duly seconded, the meeting was adjourned.
