ORDINANCE NO. O99-1662
An ordinance approving the acquisition of certain property located in the vicinity of the Preston Taylor Homes by negotiation or condemnation.
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency proposes to redevelop the area adjacent to the Preston Taylor Homes; and
WHEREAS, the acquisition of blighted property adjacent to public housing developments is in furtherance of the objectives of Tennessee Code Annotated Sections 13-20-201 through 217; and
WHEREAS, this proposal will be reviewed and considered by this Council and a public hearing duly advertised and held in accordance to Section 13-20-104, Tennessee Code Annotated.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
SECTION 1. The Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency is hereby authorized to acquire by negotiation or condemnation 3 8 10 Clifton Avenue (Map 92-9, Parcels 3 82 and 383 in accordance with Tennessee Code Annotated Sections 13-20-201 through 217.
SECTION 2. That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
