RESOLUTION NO. RS2000-396
A resolution recognizing Mrs. Rosemary Stanley for her fifty years of dedicated teaching service.
WHEREAS, this year, Mrs. Rosemary Stanley, is celebrating fifty years of outstanding teaching services; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Rosemary Stanley, began her brilliant career as a 19-year-old professional teaching first grade in Lewisberg, West Virginia; and
WHEREAS, she came to Tennessee in 1968, and took a position at Hermitage Elementary, were she continues to teach young children today; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Stanley, recognizes that the future is dependent on children; therefore, she is to be commended for her timeless and tireless efforts and dedication for the improvement of educational opportunities for children; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Stanley's educational approaches and strategies call for a demonstration of affection and approval, words of encouragement and disciplined teaching style to help prepare her students for higher education and challenges that life has to offer; and
WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Metropolitan Council recognizes Mrs. Rosemary Stanley on her many contributions in education.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
SECTION 1. The Metropolitan Council hereby goes on record as recognizing Mrs. Rosemary Stanley for her fifty years of dedicated teaching service.
SECTION 2. The Metropolitan Council Staff Office is directed to prepare a copy of this Resolution to be presented to Mrs. Rosemary Stanley.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
