RESOLUTION NO. RS99-17
A resolution accepting $10,930.00 in compromise and settlement of the Metropolitan Government's claim against Truckloaders, Inc.
Whereas, on March 20, 1998, an employee of Truckloaders, Inc., while operating a vehicle owned by Truckloaders, Inc. was responsible for a collision with a vehicle owned by the Metropolitan Government that was being operated by Donald Davidson, an employee of the Department of Police which caused property damage to the vehicle owned by the Metropolitan Government.
Whereas, after investigation, the Department of Law believes that the settlement listed in Section 1 is fair and reasonable, and recommends that the claim be compromised and settled in the amount of $10,930.00 and that these funds be deposited into the U.S.D. General Fund.
Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:
Section 1: The Metropolitan Department of Law is authorized to accept the amount of $10,930.00 in compromise and settlement of its claim against Truckloaders, Inc.
Section 2: This resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
