A resolution authorizing the Metropolitan Department of Law to compromise and settle the claims of Curtis Dressman against the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and Davidson County Sheriff’s Office Lieutenant William Gise for $530,000.00, and that said amount be paid out of the Judgments and Losses Fund.
WHEREAS, on April 25, 2010, Curtis Dressman, an Ohio college student who had been arrested on a charge of public intoxication, was assaulted by another intoxicated inmate, Jaime Lopez, while they were housed in a holding cell by the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office (“DCSO”).
