Elmington Place

Elmington Place is a Neighborhood Conservation Zoning Overlay district. Any new construction including additions, demolitions, or relocation of structures is reviewed by the MHZC prior to beginning the project.

Neighborhood Information

Elmington Place became a Neighborhood Conservation Zoning Overlay district on June 10, 2005. Elmington Place is a part of the Hillsboro-West End neighborhood, located on its boundary. In 1910 the Hillsboro street car line opened and a wave of homebuilding followed. Several architectural styles are prevalent such as American Foursquare, Craftsman, and Tudor Revival. The area contains approximately 40 properties.
