Your guide to the Mayor’s First Day Festival
- Join Mayor Karl Dean for this free community celebration as we welcome the beginning of a new school year with entertainment, educational activities, informational booths and school supplies!
- The event will take place at Bridgestone Arena in downtown Nashville.
- Doors open at 2 p.m. and the event will last until 4 p.m.
- All Metro Nashville Public Schools students are invited to attend. All students must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
- Please bring a canned item to the event for the Second Harvest Food Bank. Most needed items are canned meat, peanut butter, canned fruit, mac and cheese, canned beans, rice and cereal.
- We will be having a Mayor’s First Day Festival after-party from 4-7 p.m. on August 7 at Rocketown located at 601 4th Avenue South.
