Directions to the Metropolitan Planning Department





The Metropolitan Planning Commission meets at the Howard Office Building, 700 Second Avenue South. Parking Map

The Planning Department office is on the second floor of the Metro Office Building, 800 Second Avenue South. Office hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday; the office is closed on Metro Holidays.

The front counter and the mapping office are open from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday.

Directions to the Planning Department office

From the North:
  • I-65 South/I-24 East
  • Exit to I40 West
  • Take the 2nd Avenue/4th Avenue exit (#210C)
  • Turn right onto 2nd Avenue South
  • Turn right onto the next street, Lindsley Ave.
  • Turn left into the parking lot
From the South:
  • I-65 North to Nashville
  • Exit to I40 East
  • Take the 2nd Avenue/4th Avenue exit (#210C)
  • Continue forward through the 4th Avenue light
  • Turn left onto 2nd Avenue at the light
  • Turn right onto the next street, Lindsley Ave.
  • Turn left into the parking lot
From the East:
  • I-24 West/I40 West
  • Exit to I40 West
  • Take the 2nd Avenue/4th Avenue exit (#210C)
  • Turn right onto 2nd Avenue South
  • Turn right onto the next street, Lindsley Ave.
  • Turn left into the parking lot
From the West:
  • I40 East
