Joelton Community Plan (Subarea 1)
The Metropolitan Planning Commission adopted the Joelton Community Plan in 2003, and amended it in 2004, 2005, and 2011.
When the Joelton plan and several other around the county were adopted, the Land Use Policy Application document , guided how land use policies were applied in Joelton and around Davidson County. A new land use document, the Community Character Manual, replaced the Land Use Policy Application in August 2008, and the "CCM" will be used as community plans and amendments are updated in Subarea 1.
The Joelton Community Plan has no Detailed Neighborhood Design Plans and no Urban Design Overlays.
This Certified copy of the plan was posted in May 2011, and includes all amendments and additions to date:

- Printable Copies Of The Structure Plan & Transportation Plan In The Same Document
- Amendment #1 - adopted May 13, 2004 to include policy definitions
- Amendment #2 - adopted Dec. 8, 2005 to address former Morny School site
- Amendment #3 - adopted March 24, 2011 to provide guidance for neighborhood scaled commercial with rural character at the intersection of Clarksville Highway, Old Clarksville Highway, and Harper Road.
