You may have noticed that Nashville is growing fast! As it does, sidewalks
and bikeways are essential to keeping our community healthy and happy.
Sidewalks and bikeways can be used by residents of all ages, from kids
to seniors. They provide better mobility, increased safety, more attractive
neighborhoods and improve the overall quality of life.
That's why Metro has created a Strategic Plan for Sidewalks and Bikeways. The plan was adopted in February 2003. It guides the city in making decisions about where and how to build sidewalks and bikeways.
