Middle Tennessee Workforce Investment Board:

“We visualize a skilled workforce that supports business and economic growth in the Region”

NCAC’s governing Workforce Investment Board (WIB) promotes workforce and economic development and youth education throughout our region.

The Board is led by Executive and Operations Committees and a Youth Council that develops a strategy for workforce development in our area.

As industries experience shortages, the board reacts by developing resources for individuals to access information or receive funding for upgrading skills.

Mission:
“To ensure the Middle Tennessee workforce is aligned with the region’s long-range economic needs, Workforce Investment funds will provide training and credentials which develop talent for high demand and high skill careers.”

The Youth Council provides oversight, direction and leadership to youth activities in our 4 counties. The goal is for NCAC to connect youth, ages 14-21, with opportunities to learn about the workplace and careers, have the academic credentials they need to be employable, and provide community service and leadership skills to help them be successful in the work place.
