One-on-One Career Coaching
Why do I need to meet with a Career Coach?
Feedback from the Career Coaches on resumes and mock interviews provide the necessary guidance to help each customer improve his or her marketing plan. Coaches help job seekers explore themselves in order to determine industry preferences or the types of jobs they should pursue.
After an initial meeting, a Career Coach will help customers develop a plan and direct them to additional resources. NCAC offers three types of assessments: skill-based (WorkKeys), personality (Myers-Briggs) and interest (Strong Interest Inventory). Customers with identified barriers are also directed to community service providers for further assistance in addressing each barrier.
If you have any questions about Career Coaches, please contact the location nearest you, or send an e-mail to ncacinfo@nashville.gov.
