Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)
Description: The Community Emergency Response Team is a group of trained volunteers from the community who assist emergency response personnel during large-scale disasters. Citizens in the community are trained to cut off utilities, put out small fires, administer first aid, search for rescue victims, organize themselves and collect disaster intelligence to support first responder efforts. Volunteers must enroll in a 16-hour instructional course that is taught at a convenient location in the community.
Target Audience: Nashville Metropolitan Government employees and the general public - community groups, family members and friends.

Basic Terrorism Awareness
Description: Basic terrorism awareness course that covers an array of topics, including identifying terrorism and weapons of mass destruction; reporting suspicious activity and forming an emergency plan.
Target Audience: Anyone interested in learning about basic terrorism issues and disaster preparedness

Disaster Preparedness with Ready Rabbit
Description: Ready Rabbit visits Nashville schools and community events to teach children ways to make sure they are safe when tornadoes, storms and other disasters strike.
