Special thanks to all the OEM Operation Officers
On the 11th day of March, 2008, Mayor Karl F. Dean held an appreciation ceremony for the employees and volunteers that assisted in efforts during the February 2008 tornadoes that affected Macon County. The OEM Dispatchers went above and beyond their daily duties to assist and get resources that were being requested through OEM Field Coordinators from TEMA Headquarters. All OEM staff, various Metro Agencies and many volunteers really stepped up during this time. We are very appreciative to all that assisted in getting the citizens of Macon County the resources they needed.
