Center Hill Dam Public Meeting planned for Davidson County

(NASHVILLE, TENN., Jan. 29, 2008) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Nashville District, will co-host a Center Hill Dam public meeting with emergency management personnel in Davidson County. The meeting will be held Thursday, February 7, at the Millennium Maxwell House Hotel, 2025 Metrocenter Blvd., Nashville, Tenn. Representatives of the Corps will be available to assist with inundation maps of the local area beginning at 4:30 p.m., and the meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m.
Corps officials will present a briefing focusing on seepage problems, risk reduction measures, planning and construction efforts for a long-term fix, and emergency preparedness for downstream residents. Officials will answer questions concerning the seepage and repairs, the Center Hill Dam Consensus Report External Peer Review and the Final Environmental Impact Statement on lake level operation.
State and local emergency management personnel will also be available for questions regarding emergency planning.
