Arts in the Parks
Arts in the Parks is a 501(c)3 “friends” group serving Metro Parks programs in the areas of Music, Theatre, Special Events and Visual Arts. Arts in the Parks primary function is to serve as a grant recipient and repository for non-government funds which the Metro Council and Metro Parks Board have designated may be used by Friends organizations to fund Metro Parks programs benefiting the citizens served through our Cultural Arts Division.
Grant funds, certain ticket sales from events, certain commissions on art sales, and other designated resources provide the foundation of Arts in the Parks funds. We, in turn, provide those funds to augment taxpayer dollars to extend and enhance Music, Theatre, Special Events and Visual Arts classes, projects and programs throughout the Nashville community.
