East Park Community Center

A $5 million dollar allocation from Mayor Bill Purcell’s Master Plan for Parks and Greenways will give East Nashville, a new facility that will offer a greater diversity of programs and services than the existing facility to meet the growing demands of area residents.

picThe larger facility will be designed with gymnasium space, community meeting rooms to serve surrounding neighborhoods, rooms for computers, music, crafts, performing and fine arts, fitness and aerobics. Metro’s Parks and Greenways Master Plan recommends the construction of five larger community centers over the next ten years, including centers at Hadley (currently under construction), Coleman, Sevier, and in the Richland Park area..
