Learn how to identify and report tornadoes and severe weather. Become a severe storm spotter for the National Weather Service. There are no prerequisites in order to take this free spotter class, and there is no obligation to become a storm spotter. The NWS encourages that Spotters should always seek shelter and get to a safe place first. Spotters should relay their weather reports to the NWS after the storm passes.
