The Nashville and Davidson County Closures & Detours page provides you with information regarding road construction that may affect traffic. The below information does not reflect unplanned closures or restrictions due to traffic collisions or other emergencies. We hope the information contained here will meet your immediate needs. Road Closure Alerts

  • Titans Game Road Closures
  • 7th Avenue will be closed beginning July 31, 2016 after the Sounds game in order for the TN State Museum sewer work to be completed. The temporary closure will also impact 7th Avenue sidewalks in the construction area. The capital district sidewalks, the roundabout and Harrison will remain accessible.

Temporary Road Closings

There will be Intermittent Lane and/or Road Closures throughout project duration. Detours and/or Signage will be in place as needed to notify travelers through these areas.

Sawyer Brown Road Culvert Replacement Project

Public Works will begin the Sawyer Brown Road Culvert Replacement Project on November 7, 2016.

This project will require Sawyer Brown Road to be closed to through traffic between Oakhaven Trace and Old Charlotte Pike.

It will take approximately 3 months to complete the construction of the culvert replacement. Detours will be in place and are explained below.

Message Boards and Metro Police officers will be in place to help provide assistance with the detour routes. Local two-way traffic will be allowed to access their homes within the construction limits on Sawyer Brown Road.

Indian Creek Culvert Replacement Improvement Project

Public Works will begin the Indian Creek Culvert Replacement Improvement Project on June 15, 2016.

The project will replace two existing culverts near 7388 Indian Creek Road and 7364 Indian Creek Road that consist of deteriorated wooded decks and steel beams. These structures will require replacement in order to meet the current structural, safety and road design standards.Message Boards are in place and a temporary roadway will be installed around the construction area and over Indian Creek for local traffic within the construction limits to maintain access to their properties.

Each culvert will take approximately 3 months to complete. The entire construction duration for the project is approximately 6 months.

505 Construction Closures

Eastbound Lane of Church Street from 6th Avenue North to 5th Avenue North

  • Wednesday 12/7 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Old Shiloh Road Bridge Closure

Old Shiloh Bridge, which is located at Tinnin Road in the northern part of Davidson County on the Davidson County / Sumner County Line is closed due to structural deficiencies discovered during a Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) inspection. Metro is coordinating efforts to close the bridge with the City of Millersville. Signage is in place.
