flourescentCompact Fluorescent Lamps (CFLs) are a great way to save energy and money, but they contain a small amount of mercury, so it’s important to dispose of them safely and responsibly.

Metro residents can bring CFLs to the East Recycling Convenience Center at 941 Dr Richard Adams Drive, off East Trinity Lane and Ellington Parkway. The East Center is Davidson County’s designated Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) disposal site, and accepts a variety of items, such as paints and paint thinners, cleaners and solvents, antifreeze, used motor oil and transmission fluid, pesticides and herbicides, and much more.
