Capital Projects
The Capital Projects Section contains four specialized groups responsible for sidewalk management, construction management and inspection, capital project design management, and the pavement management program.

Development Services
The Development Services Section provides consultant design review services; construction inspection services; excavation and grading permits; maintains right-of-way/easement records; and acts as public custodian for Davidson County’s official street and alley map.

Traffic & Parking
The Traffic & Parking Section includes the parking management group and the traffic operations group responsible for ensuring safe and efficient transportation and parking products to Davidson County.
- The Parking Management group manages parking resources to access to businesses and visitors to Nashville/Davidson County. Duties include enforcement of parking meter restrictions and parking regulations; installation and maintenance of parking meters; management of Metro-owned parking garages; and fulfilling parking permit requests.
- The Traffic Operations group designs all pavement markings, signs and traffic signals in Davidson County, operates the traffic signal system, serves as staff to the Traffic and Parking Commission; oversees the Metro Neighborhood Traffic Management program; and conducts traffic studies and surveys.
