21st Avenue/Hillsboro Village Pedestrian Enhancements
Welcome to the 21st Avenue Area Pedestrian Enhancement Project Web page. The construction area for this project includes 21st Avenue at the intersections of Acklen, Blakemore and Pierce avenues and Magnolia and Blair boulevards. The purpose is to upgrade traffic signals and install new pedestrian signals at these intersections. Other enhancements include improved curb ramps at Acklen Avenue and constructing new crosswalks, curb ramps and sidewalk at Magnolia Boulevard. An open lane of traffic will be maintained at all times.
There are four phases for this project. This Web site will be used to keep everyone informed of the construction schedule and any inconveniences that may occur. The project is estimated to be complete in summer 2007.
