Strategic Plan for Sidewalks and Bikeways

Metro Public Works and the Metro Planning Department recently held public meetings
county-wide to garner input for sidewalks and bikeways planning in Metro Nashville.
By using the public input from the five public meetings as well as numerous e-mails and mail correspondence, a draft document was drafted to
summarize the proposed updates the March 2003 Sidewalks and Bikeways Strategic Plan.
The
document containing the draft updates to the Nashville-Davidson Strategic Plan for Sidewalks and Bikeways was released to the public in May 2008. The comment period for the the draft plan was completed on July 1, 2008. The 2008 Update draft can now be downloaded and viewed by

Note: Candidate/potential sidewalk projects depicted within this website reflect those developed from the original Strategic Plan and do not reflect project and/or prioritization changes resulting from the 2008 updates. Project lists, maps and the prioritization of projects are currently being developed and shall be posted on this website soon.
