Sports Authority Committee Assignments

EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
The Executive Committee will meet quarterly to discuss the Authority’s overall efficiency and effectiveness in achieving its strategic mandates and mission. Members of this committee include officers of the board and up to two standing Board members who are appointed by the chair. Committee members will discuss strategic initiatives as well as evaluate staff performance. With regard to staff evaluation, the Executive Committee sets goals and establishes timelines for the staff, plus monitors staff performance in relation to the goals and objectives set by the Board.

FACILITY (DAMAGE) MAINTENANCE LIAISON

The facility (damage) maintenance liaison will oversee property maintenance and repair items at the LP Field and Gaylord Entertainment Center. Members of the Committee will solicit bids for potential contracts and review damages as reported by management of the facilities. In addition, the chair of this committee shall serve as the Sports Authority’s designated representative on the Oversight Committee called for in Article 5.2(b) of the LP Field Development Agreement. This committee will meet as needed.

FINANCE & AUDIT REVIEW COMMITTEE
The Finance and Audit Review Committee will meet as needed. They will review carefully annual and operating and capital budgets and recommend approval by the Board before budgets are submitted to Metro for approval. This committee will also perform audit functions.

FUTURE PROFESSIONAL SPORTS LIAISON
The Future Professional Sports Liaison will seek to plan, promote and develop amateur and professional sports, events and facilities. The committee will conduct itself to do what is reasonable and necessary to attract professional sports franchises to Nashville. This committee will meet and conduct public hearing as requested or needed.

PUBLIC RELATIONS LIAISON (ECONOMIC IMPACT)
The Public Relations Liaison will formulate strategies to inform the citizens of Davidson County about goals and accomplishments of the Sommet Center and of the LP Field. The Economic Impact of the events held at the facilities should be consistently emphasized on all strategic communications

TENNESSEE STATE UNIVERSITY LIAISON
The TSU Liaison Committee will meet in planning, promoting, organizing events and addressing issues related to TSU events held at the LP Field and Arena as necessary. This committee will meet as needed.

METRO’S AUDIT REVIEW COMMITTEE
Metro’s Audit and Review Committee will serve as the Sports Authority’s liaison in meetings with Metro’s Audit Steering Committee and discuss the audits performed on the Arena and the LP Field.
