Talia Lomax-O'dneal was appointed Director of Finance in October 2015. She joined the Finance Department in September 2000 from the State of Tennessee's Department of Finance and Administration. Most recently, she served as Deputy Finance Director where her primary responsibilities included preparation and monitoring of Metro's operating and capital budgets. She has worked extensively in the field of public finance for more than 25 years. She has received numerous leadership and professional awards for her work. She is a Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) and a Certified Municipal Finance Officer (CMFO). She is a member of the Government Finance Officers Association and the Association of Government Accountants.
Talia received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. She is also an alumni of the Tennessee Government Executive Institute.
