DES Customers

Currently, 42 downtown buildings, occupied by 30,000 office workers and hotel guests, are served by the Metro Nashville DES. About 35 percent of the steam and 24 percent of the chilled water generated by the facility is contracted to State of Tennessee buildings, including the state Capitol; 40 percent of steam and 44 percent of chilled water generated by the facility is contracted to Metro government buildings, such as the Historic Courthouse and Music City Center; and the remaining 25 percent of steam and 32 percent of chilled water is contracted to privately owned buildings, including several office buildings, seven hotels, a church, and the historic Ryman Auditorium. Additional capacity is available for potential customers. Please contact us if you are interested in connecting to the DES!
