Before any monies are received or spent, (except for incidental expenditures to decide whether to run for office), a candidate must certify the name and address of a political treasurer to the Registry of Election Finance for a state election and to our office for a local election.
The Appointment of Political Treasurer form must be completed and the original filed. No emailed or faxed forms may be accepted. A new form is required if you run for re-election or if you ran in the previous race and choose to run again.
Campaign Finance Forms and Publications are published by the Tennessee Bureau of Ethics and Campaign Finance (TN BECF).
