Metro Nashville Debt Information

The Debt area is responsible for maintaining records of the government's outstanding debt, making debt service payments, providing debt holders and potential investors with information related to our financial strength and assisting with new debt issuance.

Independent Registered Municipal Advisor Certificate

By publicly posting the following written disclosure, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County Tennessee intends that market participants receive and use it for purposes of the independent registered municipal advisor exemption to the SEC Municipal Advisor Rule.

The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County Tennessee has retained an independent registered municipal advisor. The Metropolitan Government is represented by and will rely on its municipal advisor, First Southwest, a Division of Hilltop Securities, to provide advice on proposals from financial services firms concerning the issuance of municipal securities and municipal financial products (including investments of bond proceeds and escrow investments). The individual with primary responsibility for advising the Metropolitan Government on such matters is Wayne Placide. This certificate may be relied upon until March 10, 2024 or until otherwise withdrawn by us.
