Tent Permit Application

All permit applications and fees must be submitted to the Fire Marshal’s Office a minimum of 3 working days prior to your event/inspection (more advanced notice is greatly appreciated).

Permits submitted and payment processed by 2 p.m. on Monday will be ready for inspection after 8 a.m. on Friday.

NOTE: List tents by quantities and sizes e.g.: 2 @ 10’x40’; 1 @ 50’x50’, etc.












Acknowledgement/Certification and Documentation

Please provide the following documentation:

  • Flame spread documentation
  • Detailed site and floor plan for any tents great than 400 square feet
  • If multiple tents are used in one location you must also include a legend for the layout.

Allowed extensions: .pdf
(File must be 5MB or less)

I agree to the following:

  • Tents require a permanently affixed label bearing flame spread, 2A:10BC fire extinguisher and may require emergency lights, illuminated exit signage and special event fire watch.
  • The following items are prohibited in tents: hay, straw, shaving or similar combustible materials, Open Flames/Candles, Cooking, Smoking
