COVID-19 Financial Oversight Committee
The Committee shall be comprised of nine (9) members. Six (6) members of the Committee shall be appointment by the Mayor, which are not subject to confirmation by the Council. The remaining three (3) members shall be Members of the Metropolitan Council appointed by the Vice Mayor. The Committee members shall be appointed not later than June 26, 2020.
The purpose of the Committee is to collect, consider, and recommend appropriate uses of all federal and state funds provided to the Metropolitan Government specifically for COVID-19 relief and recovery, including but not limited to federal CARES Act funds. The Committee shall submit its initial recommendations to the Mayor, the Director of Finance, and the Metropolitan Council not later than August 3, 2020, and its final recommendation not later than November 15, 2020.
